I have bought some things in a second hand store for the first time. I never thought it would happen because I've always considered everything there to be junk. But a friend at work who absolutely loves these stores made me come with her on Friday when everything was 50% off. The things I got look like they never been used! For $9.96 I brought home following items:

120 days to go

Today I held a 6 month old baby girl. So cute and so little. It felt unreal that we soon are going to have one of our own. I am longing to meet him.

I am happy I didn't have to go to work today because it was a day meant to spent outside in the nice spring weather. I went to the pool and swam for half an hour. It was really nice and I was doing great until it was time to get out of the water. Next time I won't even try to jump up from the water to the poolside! I will use the ladder just as all the other 70-year olds (and pregnant women). It was embarrising trying to push myself (and my belly) up over the edge, kicking and struggling looking like a frog. Definitely not used to this new body of mine!

Have someone seen my baby?

I have always been very forgetful. I lose things all the time, can't remember where I put stuff and always feel like it's something I have forgotten to do (and in most cases I also have).

I lock my keys in the car, I forget to take the money out of the ATM, and always have to have someone call my cellphone to find out where it's at.

Yesterday I had one of those days when I just couldn't get my shit together. Then Max said I am going to be the same way with the baby, forget it at the store or in the park. That I would have to tie a string to my wrist and attach it to the stroller. So I wouldn't forget. I thought it was very funny the way he said it. "Oops, I forgot the baby at Walmart"

After talking to my mom on Skype I can definitely say that the baby do not need any more clothes for the first 3 to 4 months. OMG! There are so many adorable clothes for babies. She had gotten him a superman jogging dress, another jogging dress that is white with frogs on, a long sleeved t-shirt with matching sweatpants, and these adorable pants.

Our boy is going to be the cutest dressed baby in Steamboat!

Happiness is...

spending $232.00 on new tires! Especially using money you had planned on using for something else.

Doing some more shopping

Today I couldn't resist buying some clothes for our little boy. I have been browsing many online stores for baby clothes and considering how much other baby stuff we need to buy I do not want to spend too much money on clothes he is only going to wear for a couple of months. Neither do I want to have too many clothes but just the right amount to be able to keep up on laundry.

I found a great site with good priced baby clothes and I got all this for a total of $51.93. On the downside most clothes are either blue or pink. It would have been great with some more options. But still very cute! This is what I got.

Feeling Chunky!

Today it is week 21+0. I have gained 4 kg and don't feel that much pregnant yet although I am down to two pair of leggings as the only pants I am able to wear. My doctor said it's time to stop skiing and snowmobiling so instead we have bought a one year membership to the Health & Rec Center. Starting May first I am planning on going swimming a few times a week. I figured it was a good idea to get a pass considering the work I have ahead of me post delivery :)

Yesterday I got three packages delivered to our mailbox. Three from my very kind mom and one baby down comforter that I had ordered. I will try to get some things every week to try to spread out the cost of everything that we need to get before our little boy gets here. Now I am going to go water my beautiful flowers which are still alive and blooming. Happy Thursday!

I have earned some grown up points by purchasing my first two plants for the house. One Orchid and one Sunrise Cactus. I will be very sad if they die on me!

Went up on Buff Pass and did some backcountry. Max snowboarded and I was acting chauffeur. Right now we have the easter lamb roasting in the oven meanwhile nibbling on some truffle cheese and olive bread. Could be worse...

Halftime!

Today I am 20 weeks pregnant which means there are 20 more to go. So far so good and I can't wait until Tuesday when I have my second and last ultrasound. I hope the baby is going to cooperate so that we can see if it is a boy or a girl. But more important I hope the baby is healthy! I am so curious to see how he or she is going to look like.

Today we woke up to about three inches of wet, icky, heavy slush so I decided to grab Rimini and go in with Max. April fools weather!
